Gemology is the branch of mineralogy which defines complete study of gemstones from mine to market. This includes mining of gemstones, crystallography, cutting and polishing, chemical, physical, and optical properties of gemstones, sources of gemstones, etc.
It also involves the identification of synthetics and simulants. It includes both types of natural gems i.e., Organics and Inorganics. Organic gems like Pearl, Coral, Amber, etc. and Inorganic involves Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz, Diamond, Iolite, Emerald, etc.
IGS Institute offers all about gemstones along with practical of each type of gemstone. In our courses, we also offers, about the relation between gemstones and astrology.
